To provide a simple and quantitative estimation of fish freshness, a disposable micro hypoxanthine sensor was constructed using a Clark-type micro oxygen electrode and immobilized xanthine oxidase. The sensor showed a good response to hypoxanthine and allowed the determination of hypoxanthine in the concentration range between 6.7 - 180 uM.Citation
